Chris Torman

Board Member

Chris is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) living in Farmington, UT and working in Northern Utah. He is a clinician that takes great pride in providing safe, excellent, anesthesia care. He graduated from Weber State University in 1999 with a bachelor of science in nursing and from the University of South Carolina with a Masters in Nurse Anesthesia in 2003. Chris is currently in the process of completing his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Northern Colorado in Greely with an anticipated graduation in 2020.

He is an independent practice nurse anesthetist at several locations in northern Utah including Mount Ogden Surgical Center and South Ogden Specialty Surgical Center and Utah Surgical Center. Chris was an administrator in the Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesia (MSNA) program at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah for eight years. He worked at the Moran Surgical Center at the University of Utah, Physician Surgical Center and Ogden Regional Medical Center. Chris is a former president of the Utah Association of Nurse Anesthetists (UANA) and has been an active opponent keeping anesthesia care safe and equitable in the state of Utah. He remains politically active in issues that affect the practice of anesthesia.

A native of Utah, Chris has been married to his wife, Amy, for 25 years and they have six children and one granddaughter. His family is his highest priority and his greatest joys come from his role as husband and father. He believes that spiritual life is just as important as temporal. He is a well-founded member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Chris enjoys many activities which include boating with his family, wakeboarding, waterskiing, snow skiing, basketball, racquetball, golf, and anything else that he can do to kindly compete with himself and others.
